Rudder Block

This is a rudder bracket best suited for Mid length Pin rudders. Sometimes referred to as a Gudgeon,it is for a new install or for replacement of a damaged or bent rudder bracket.
This will suit a number of kayaks including Wilderness Systems & Perception kayaks amongst others (with a flat stern).

Mounting hardware is NOT included! Normally used with inset threads you may be able to use a nut, washer and bolt system if your kayak (with a flat stern) does not have these inset nuts and you can reach inside to put the nut and washers on.

Bolt holes in the bracket are ¾ of an inch on center, one hole oval to accommodate variations. Holes for ruder pin are 3/8 inch dia., overall size is 2 ½ inches long by 2 inches high by 1 inch wide. Made of heavy bent steel bar stock, with a welded pin.

New Install? You may have to remove and discard any filler screws that may be in the bolt holes of your kayak.
